Raising finance: introductions to investors

Noemie Ram | Tue 7 Apr 2009

I am in the process of raising finance for a start up and before approaching Financial Advisors (FSA authorised) an industry contact has offered to put me in touch with a few high net worth individuals she thinks might be interested in. This would be a one off introduction and it is not normally her job to do this. She has requested commission if we are successful but firstly I need to establish whether this legal for her to being introducing us to HNW individuals. Has the FSA any published guidance relating to this? Your comments are much appreciated.
